I contracted AFT Logistics to handle the transportation of my (nearly) new 2008 Volkswagen GTI from Southern California to Savannah, GA. I had originally intended to use another broker/shipper, but as my departure date grew closer, I didn't have a driver assigned. I contacted AFT and within 72 hours, they had a confirmed pickup date. How ddi they do this when the other company couldn't? Easy, they weren't greedy. They took less money for their broker fee and passed the rest onto the actual driver thus guaranteeing me a timely pickup.
The company they contracted was Safe Way Auto Transport and they were exemplary. They were professional, courteous, neat and accessible. Unfortunately, my car arrived with a dent in the fender that, according to the driver, probably was a result of road debris as he had to drive through tropical storm Fay. However, the driver and the company handled the dent with utmost deliberation. The driver and I took digital pictures; he notified the company promptly; when I did they asked me to send them my pictures . Within 24 hours they had sent me a list of local dent repair specialists. I took my car to one of them who handled the dent removal on the spot. By agreement, I paid with a local check and emailed the receipt to Safe Way. They immediately mailed me a reimbursement check with their sincerest apologizes. These folks where exemplary. I couldn't imagine what they could have done that would have been more professional or better. If only my movers were as good.
