not refunding my deposit on a no show

I was booked with another service who did not charge me up front. I spoke with Transport Services who called me and started asking who I booked with etc. and advised me they were a five star company.who worked with thier own carriers. I was persuaded to cancel and book with them as my need was to have my car not before or to long after the 19th of July. I was told my car would be picked up by the 14th between the 12th and the 14th. On 7/14/2008 at 3:21 pm I got a call from the carrier letting me know he would not be able to pick me up , not until the next day around 12:00PM and I would have to meet him in a shopping center. The next day 7/15/2008 I did not get a call from the driver until I called the transport services number and left a message on the voice mail. no one called me back but the driver called around 3:30 PM and told me it would be another 3 to 4 hours before he would be available. I had plans for a church conference which is a yearly event and would not be available from the night of 7/15/2008 thru 7/19/2008 which is when i would get to AZ. I was not advised of this shopping center deal ahead of time I was told door ro door service. I live on a wide street and we have no public transportation. this is a desertedt area at night and advised it would be to late. I was told my deposit was non refundale because they secured me a spot. I was told in the beginning if the driver did not show I could be refunded. I paid for this conference $4700.00. I could not mss it. I am a little fish i hope they see the light a realize sometimes when a person has a schedule to pass on that call. I was very up front with them.
