| Slow Pickup & Very Little Updates |
I placed an order on June 11, 2008 for Wise Auto Shipping to pickup my 1999 Pontiac Trans Am from Tucson Arizona. I got a confirmation email stating that my order has been placed and received a call from Wise Auto Shipping also.
Through out the first week and a half I called a few times to get updates about the car being picked up, they gave me the average run around about how the diligently trying to find me a carrier and that it was to far out. On June 21, 2008 the 10 day pickup window had passed and I gave them a call wondering if they where going to wave the broker fee, I got a hold of Nathan and he said they would wave it. He told me that a carrier "should" be about full and just waiting for a couple more cars to fill the carrier. Nathan said to call him back Monday night to get a update on this problem, I acknowledged and gave him a call. Nathan then told me it would be middle of the week before the car would be picked up, and he also said that the broker fee would have to be put back on to gain more interest, which made me uncomfortable seeing how they agreed to wave the broker fee passed the pickup window, I then agreed to the terms. I called him again Thursday to see if he had found me a carrier, Nathan hadn't found me a carrier yet and decided to set up a "ASAP" plan. I needed the car by the july 4 and that date was only a week away. This plan would speed up the process of finding me a carrier by placing the price of the carrier to zero dollars, meaning that the carrier would decide the price and the broker would haggle to get a lower price. I agreed to the terms and Nathan said it could possible be anywhere from $50-$125 more above the original price ($795). I get a call from Cristina stating that they had found me a carrier for the price of $925, $130 more which was something I wasn't to pleased about, but was on a shortened schedule to receive the car.
The carrier Circle B Transportation was located in Oskaloosa, IA, MY HOME TOWN. I had know idea there was a carrier located here, and probably would of went with them if I had known. They pickup the car up Tuesday a day behind schedule, the delivery date was Thursday. I got a call Thursday afternoon stating that my car was sitting there waiting for me to pick it up. When we got there, the first thing I noticed was the car was DIRTY, but there was no bodily damage and seemed fine.
Overall I wouldnt recommend Wise Auto Shipping for the way they continue to string you along by making false promises on pickup dates. Next time I will go with Circle B Transportation.
